After a short time in public accounting I was fortunate enough to land a position for a Fortune 500 Manufacturer.  During my several years there I gained valuable experience in areas such as cost accounting, inventory control, manufacturing planning and production control, facilitation of Quality Circles, all while implementing a new computerized system.

After gaining this experience I spent several years as a corporate Controller and moved up to Chief Financial Officer.  During these years I gained great experience in both distribution and manufacturing in wholesale/retail and automotive supplier environments.  Business planning, budgeting as well as purchasing and leading implementation teams for integrated computerized business systems is where most of my time was spent during these years.

Since then my career has taken me into the consulting arena helping companies with process improvement and Enterprise Resource Planning systems as part of their strategies.  I have been able to see many industries, environments and company cultures.  I have learned much from all of these experiences. 

This has also led me into areas such as lean manufacturing and learning to use technology  and workflow to improve business processes.  Over the years I have worked with many clients and conducted training at local colleges through their professional services offerings.

I keep the old and new tools and techniques that I have learned and know that different times and situations call for different  tools and techniques.  I believe in these tools and adjusting the use of them in the appropriate situations.  This is what I believe the dpbs, ltd. clients deserve.  No less.

Since I also teach at local colleges this is also what I pass on to students in the programs knowing this will help the student, the employers and the college.
